When you dock the laptop into its docking station, make sure to plug the ethernet cable into the docking station rj output. NOT into the laptop. It could've saved me a lot of time today.

hehe yes i learned this the hard way also on my 1st day of work. im guessing you are using lenova laptops? i think the docking stations SUCK. what are you working on btw?
Yup, It's an IBM/lenovo thinkpad.
And I'm a localization Engineer ;-)
HAHA,
And you fell into this, welcome to corporate policy bound workstations, so I assume you're working on some windoze ZB workstation, hehehehe
But hey, now you can tell us if the Lenovo's are worth it or not.
I'm running debian you nuts. Debian testing and I can't give you more info but seems that the lenovo is fine (Although this is a thinkpad).
Lenovo is ok - but you're better off getting a Macbook Pro ;)
