Asiasource 2005, The 6th day.

Body

As usual, Late due to network!

Shit, It's 8:45 in the morning, Have to run for the breakfast!
I'm lucky it was served late half an hour at 8:30 instead of 8:00
Now the morning track, And the question "What's your birth date ?"
Now to the localization track. The 1st part was on how to manage the l10n project, After the coffe break we started touching the computer.
Time for dinner, I was talking with a Filipino woman on various things, Egypt "she was surprised that Hosney Mubarak is still there!", Life, work and we were talking about the problems with Filipino people i Egypt, I told her that I don't know much and I promised her that I'll try to help her.
Another girl speaking Urdu, But we didn't talk alot about her language support but we'll talk later I think.
Anyway I've been talking to more people today, I started to be familiar with the place.
Anyway, I've exchanged $20 and took the rest of the $70.
I went to pay my bills to the cafeteris Bought a mirenda as they didn't have cols, I spent the time till 4 talking with 2 people.
at 4 we had to gather in the main hut, It's the skills session day! I didn't find something interresting in the 1st half. So I attended a session on how to build RPMs, And I fell asleep!
After the coffe break "And I liked those dried bugs they offered with it, Ok they were not bugs!" I attended a session on how to build your own Low power FM radio station.
The idea is simple, Use a flat antenna "like the one used for TVs" and an FM transmitter which is not expensive and that's it.
We were talking about internet radio, One of the major disadvantages is that you can't serve a lot of clients, While you can use the radio to do this.
I sat down beside the woman, We exchanged the emails at the end, I felt like I have no feet because of the mosquitos, Really an insect repiller did the trick!
So I went to the cafeteria to get my Duracell batteries, I've got 4 of them for 100 Rubees.
BTW: Did I mention that I found a net caffee yesterday in the city ? 1 hour for 10 Rubees.
Lunch time, And for the 1st time in my life I was one of the 1st people there.
After lunch I went and took some photos of the people I know and I don't know.
Now here I'm at the lab, Finished my daily 500ml dose of cola. I didn't attend the puppets show.
I'm trying to install bzflag, As debian upgraded to 2.0 and it's not compatible with the older version, I've got woody version but I t's not compatible too. And trying to download my email and failing as usual.
Now I'm compiling the source!
I gave Michael the eglug pamphlets, Alaa's bash and linux intro PDFs.
I talked to a guy from Pakistan, I asked him about the Quran project problem, And he offered to help as he can reach an authority in pakistan and try to certify them.

I compiled bzflag, played for some time, Went to sleep.
