و لا عمرها كانت بالشكل

Submitted by msameer on Tue, 23/08/2005 - 1:34pm

و لا عمرها كانت بالشكل ولا بالحاجات الهبلة دى بس الناس مش فاهمة

Well, If all the girls started to believe in this, Then I'll not marry ever.

The problem is that we have a wrong "thing" in our society which I'm unable to identify yet.

No more from my side but reading this made me sad.

Yesterday @ the CultureWheel.

Submitted by msameer on Mon, 22/08/2005 - 7:48am

Yesterday was fun...

I went to the Culture Wheel, Long time I haven't been there for a non EGLUG activity.

I went to the hall, Met alaa, Manal, Ahmad and Amr Gharbeia.

Roastry with all the gang, Met ezabi, ghazal and more people I don't know.

Talked a little with Ezabi, Then went to sit with Alaa and the gang.

Had my cappuccino.

They all went. I stayed with Sherif and Islam.

Met Eman. I had another silly comment about her latest complain :-). Never mind.

Ate tuna pasta salad and had a cola "Yes, I usually have a cappuccino before eating" Usually because I'm there tired. I didn't sleep well the day before and I came straight from the office.

Talked for a while, Now it's Fathy Salama and Karima Nayet. I gotta run.

Met el set na3ama after the party. Forgot to post this! Sorry!

Was really cool. I'm sure I needed such a thing.

Went to zzzz at 2 ? or as it 2:30 ? I remember the book was on the floor when i woke up "late as usual", Now back to work...

Is it the end of volunteer work for me ?

Submitted by msameer on Wed, 10/08/2005 - 7:00pm

I don't know.
Looks like EGLUG is not doing well. People don't try to do anything.
The lug just turned into an inactive stupid piece of nonsense.
People in Egypt don't respect volunteers.
People in Egypt don't want to learn.
No constructive discussions anymore.
EGLUG's been there for more than a year, Now what did we get after all these months ?
I guess nothing and I guess nothing can be done.
It's really part of our culture not to do anything, To only talk and talk about how bad other people are doing.
No, This wasn't what I've aimed for really.
Arabeyes is also not doing very well, I don't really understand how can I stand up in a conference and talk about arabeyes and ask people to help when I know that they'll face problems.
Same goes for EGLUG. I just don't know or can't understand "I can't say that I understand every aspect of the human life".
Job ? Even this I'm fighting to get rid of. Why the damn can't people act nice. And for who's sake ?
Chairman of IT Synergy, You are nothing and if there's something bad I wish happen to someone, It'll be you.
When I travel and talk in a conference to represent your company, You don't deduct those days from my monthly payment. Why didn't I tell him that ? Because I gave up and I really have no energy to talk or fight anymore.
You don't sell drinks to the people working in the office.
You don't ask them to be your support team, You get support people.
You appreciate their work if it's good, Not look for the bad things.
You stop being silly and stop your endless requirements for the software they are developing.
You do you do you do you don't you don't you don't...

Realy, I feel bad and now I can say that it's a sin to be born/live/work/think about any of the previous things when it comes to the middle east.

Arabs are mostly assholes.

All this might be due to multiple bad things are happening to me within the last few weeks. I don't know whether I can relate my broken state to one of those things, To all of them or to none of them. I just don't know. and I don't want to write more.

I'm suspending my administration rights in both eglug and arabeyes. And stopping all my volunteer activities until farther notice.

Jordan: The end. And I took the headphones from the plane.

Still there my friends, The poor guy called Mohammed Sameer along with Jad.
Basem passed buy, Then Ossama Khayat.
The sual geek talking!
jo LUG, GNU/Linux, Arabeyes, ...........
Ossama decided to leave early.
Basem invited us to a meal of Beans, Falafel and 7ommos! I ate a lot, Enjoyed it.
So back to home ? YUP.
I asked the guy in the reception where can I get water, Then I went hunting.
Back, Isam phoned me feeling guilty for being busy, I flamed him a 1,000 times ;-) "No, I didn't".
Slept at 2:30, Had to wake up at 7 ot 7:30 to pack my things.
guess I woke up at 7:45 "Managed to wake up all the people in Amman ;-)".
No water ? shit! Thank god I didn't finish the bottle, I used some water to wash my face and drank the rest.
Packed my things, Isam passed by, Finalized everything and went out with him "The guy sitting in the reception was Egyptian too BTW".
To the city terminal with Isam, The city terminal is a place in the 7th square where you get the boarding and Get rid of your luggage in.
Booked a seat in the 10th O'clock bus.
Isam invited me to coffee in his home, You have a cool garden, May god bless you all.
Back to the City terminal.
Reached the airport at 10:30.
They really treated my bag in a non-human way. THIS IS A LAPTOP, So don't expect me to be happy when I pass by the security gate to get it from the other side and find it on the floor stuck beside a large bag.
Everything was fine, I needn't pay the tax.
Walking in the airport, Found the smoking area, I asked someone to light my cigarette. Went to the Lavatory, How do you use this tap ? Nevermind. Someone did it for me and I had to tip him!
Walking again, Irish coffee ? Why not ? I love it!
Got myself a cup of coffee and went back to smoke.
Guess what ? WiFi in the airport, Nice.
It's 11:30, I have to run. Went to gate 5, CRowded and it seems that no one is moving. Nevermind, I'll browse the net using my PDA.
Anyone going to Cairo ? YES! me!
I was among the last 3 people. Security gate again ? I hade to take off my belt.
12:00 we started to move.
12:14, almost done with taking off.
12:20, seems OK, We suffered from a turbulence, It's OK.
Headphones ? Good. I'll take them as I need to buy one but I have no time ;)
Food time. I'm hungry, Same meal but a Turkey sandwich instead of the cheese one.
I'm still hungry.
A bride and a groom ? OK, The crew announced it saying Mabrook!
Honey moon in Egypt. I found myself doing some calculations and the result was 1JD ~ 8.5 LE, Have a nice trip to Egypt.
They started landing at 1:00
1:20, I'm still sitting down as the doors are still closed although all the people are standing up.
1:31, Waiting to stamp my passport.
1:33, I'm almost there. They are really fast!
1:41, Took my passport, He asked me to wait.
1:47, Still waiting I've asked him what's wrong but The answer I've got was to wait.
I started shouting, AND I'M REALLY ANGRY.
A young guy told me that this is security issues. OK, Now I understand. Let the damn people do whatever they want.
1:52, A guy holding a lot of passports was calling me, I took my passport.
1:53, ound my bag
1:58, OUT!
That's it for now, My family was late picking me up. They arrived at 2:13.
Home, Eat, Nescafe, Down, Culturewheel. Met Diaa, Marwa and CVirus, Then the normal life.
