Dream team is back

Body

Yesterday, We knew about the Egyptian FOSS conference, Great, But it'll be held on Wednesday, Damn we have no time then, But this is the usual situation, Since arabbix 0.8 is outdated and 0.9 is alpha, We'll have to cook something. I was thinking about remastering morphix gnome but the current cloop utils complained about the old mod format, hmmmmm, Create my own main mod ? No time for doing it and testing it, So out of the way morphix. Knoppix ? they removed gnome. Bye knoppix. Gnoppix ? I think yes, since gnome 2.6 is AFAIK arabised 100%, The only problem is to discover how to remaster it and to add all the arabeyes apps, Hope for the future.

Back to "life ?"

So, I came back from my short holiday with Alaa, Yes it was great, Maybe not the greatest thing, But you understand those things hitting you the exact time you want them!

Though I didn't swim but I'm sure that I've enjoyed the stay there, Just staying there not doing anything is nice, Oh yes, And eating 1 1/2 KiloGrams. of fish In one meal :-)

What's the problem with /. ??

Body

What's the problem about having a terrible karma ?
For the 1st time, I wanted to be informative on /. and improve the situation a bit, That's what I wanted to post here:
use jhbuild
============
I've downloaded the tarballs yesterday, Garnome is outdated.
Ok, use jhbuild from the GNOME CVS, it's fine, install tla, docbook-xml, libbz2-dev and docbook.

You may need to tweak the configure.in here, or modify a C file there "happened with me in Xrender, But i can't remember what i did!".
It's going smooth now.
But damn, I get this:

Slashdot only allows a user with your karma to post 2 times per day (more or less, depending on moderation). You've already shared your thoughts with us that many times. Take a breather, and come back and see us in 24 hours or so.

If you think this is unfair, please email posting@slashdot.org with your username "Uniball". Let us know how many comments you think you've posted in the last 24 hours.

GNOME, Again and again...

Yes, I don't like GNOME. But I can't prevent myself from compiling it every now and then when a major release popps up. Now, I'm trying to build GNOME 2.8 rc1, jhbuild seems fine, Though I don't like to compile from the CVS, As I have to look and see how is it going and perhaps fix things every now and then, But i have no other choice except building from the tarballs by my own.
